Search for people, files, events and more with our global search box. Shortcuts make even quicker work of it. Just press ctrl+enter to open the search box from anywhere on the site.
Book Universal Holiday Dates
Company or department closed? Schedule block holidays without having to book each employee individually. Simply click on the organisation tab, then choose Batch Updates. From here you can book a holiday for selected users, a department or everyone in the company.
Manage Your Essential People Details*
Track salary changes, service length, bank account details, change of address and other vital information, so you have a full audit log for tracking, comparison and accessibility. Details are securely logged on the platform so you can record, manage and review from your WorkSmarter account.
Make Notes as You Work
Create and record a note about any employee with our digital memo. Share the note or keep it private to view as your own personal prompt. Record actions, objectives or observations, or set a reminder so you don’t forget when a task needs actioning.
Calculate Holiday Entitlements
With calculations based on UK Holiday entitlements, WorkSmarter’s dynamic Holiday Calculator does the hard work for you. Simply provide the basic key employee information, click calculate and the job’s done. Access the calculator by visiting the employee profile, click Edit, and go to the Holiday Entitlement tab.
Health & Safety Duties
Did you know you can assign Fire Marshals and First Aiders via the employee’s profile? When they request annual leave, you’ll receive an alert warning if you’re going to be left without cover so you can plan accordingly.

Reserve The Date
Add Custom Dates to reserve blocked off and non-working days for your organisation. When you reserve non-working days, they won’t be deducted from holiday entitlements. If you block off days for company events, meetings and more, staff will be alerted if they try to book holiday on these dates.
