Everything you need to know.
Permissions are integral to your WorkSmarter account and govern an employee’s access to your company’s services.
Setting these permissions correctly is crucial to safeguarding employee confidentiality and data security.
At WorkSmarter, we prioritise data protection. Rest assured, any information shared on our platform is secure and accessible only to those individuals granted specific permissions.
Various permissions can be configured depending on the package you’ve subscribed to. During setup, Account Owners have all permissions enabled by default.
Specific permissions, such as approving team holiday requests, are automatically set for managers when their user account is created.
Managers can view their assigned permissions but cannot modify them. Account Owners, however, have the flexibility to adjust permissions when adding a new employee, ensuring roles align with responsibilities.
Permissions can be customised at any time to accommodate the specific needs of different employees.
Account Owners and Managers (subject to permissions) can adjust an employee’s permissions by navigating to the Organisation Tab, selecting the ‘View employees’ tab, choosing the employee, and clicking on ‘Edit’ followed by ‘Permissions’.
Within the permissions panel you’ll find a comprehensive list with explanations for each, allowing you to toggle them on or off as required.
Once saved, the employee will have the necessary access to perform their designated tasks effectively.
This approach ensures that your team operates efficiently while maintaining the integrity and security of your company’s data.
Permissions Report
You can easily review users' permissions by running the Permission Report, which is located in the Reports section of the site.
This report allows you to check permissions by employee, department, or across the entire company. It will help you review and verify the current permissions set on your WorkSmarter account.
Our friendly team will be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
