Organising Your WorkSmarter Account
When you create your WorkSmarter account, organising your company information is essential. While every business may not follow a standard structure, our platform allows flexibility for everyone to configure their account coherently and intuitively.
Getting Started
Let’s familiarise you with how we organise your account by looking at roles:
Account Owner: The person who sets up your account is designated as the Account Owner and has full access to all features on your WorkSmarter account within your chosen plan. You can have multiple account owners or remove them as required from within the company settings tab under organisation.
Managers: Managers are assigned to departments for the teams they manage. By default, they can approve holiday requests and report absences. Depending on their role and requirements, you can customise each manager's account to ensure they have the correct permissions and access. Almost all HR features can be turned off or limited depending on the user's requirements, giving you peace of mind everyone has the correct level of access.
Staff Users: Staff users can make holiday requests, submit expenses for approval, and view their team's holiday calendar. Again, like with managers, each staff user's account can be customised within the user's permissions.
Offices and Departments
Your account structure is based on Offices and Departments, allowing unlimited offices and departments to be added. Your departments will create your managers' reporting lines.
Employee Assignments
Employees are assigned to Departments. You can assign the same employee to multiple Departments, even if they belong to different Offices.
You can edit and update information anytime with real-time updates.
Flexibility and Support
We understand that moving data from several sources can be time-consuming. That's why we've built our import function to allow quick and easy importing of staff data, HR files and more for quick and easy migration into your WorkSmarter account.
