Performance management templates allow you to standardise staff reviews, making the process efficient and consistent. Follow these steps to create a template in WorkSmarter.
Log in to your WorkSmarter account.
Navigate to the Performance Management section under the Services menu.
Click on Templates.
Click on the New Template button at the top of the page.
Enter a name for your template, such as “Quarterly Review” or “Manager Evaluation.”
Provide a brief description to explain the purpose of the template.
Click Add an Item to the Template to start building your template.
Choose from the available field types:
Simple Question: Add a short-answer question.
Detailed Question: Add a long-answer question.
Yes/No Question: Add a binary choice question.
Single Choice: Provide options where only one can be selected.
Multiple Choice: Allow multiple selections from a list.
Star Rating: Use a 1–5 star scale.
Scale 1–10: Add a numerical scale.
Information Text: Add guidance or process instructions for reviewers.
Fill in the details for each item, such as the question text or guidance notes.
Mark questions as Required or Optional based on your needs.
Use hints to provide additional context or clarity for specific questions.
Drag and drop items to reorder them as needed.
Use the up and down arrows to fine-tune the sequence.
Add more items if required—there’s no limit to the number of fields.
Review the template to ensure all fields are correctly added and organized.
Click Save Template to store your work.
Click the Share button next to the saved template.
Choose which managers to share it with, or select Share with Entire Company to make it available to all managers.
Your template is now ready to use for staff reviews. If you need to make changes, you can edit the template at any time. However, note that templates are locked for any reviews already in progress to preserve data integrity.
